Switchboard compatibility
This product is intended for use within
the UK for connection to the public
telephone network and compatible
switchboards, which support tone and
pulse dialling and timed break recall.
If in doubt please consult your service
provider.
Switchboard use
To set the dialling mode
Press the UP or DOWN button
until the display shows
Base
Settings
.
Press the OK option button.
Press the UP or DOWN button
until the display shows
Dial
Mode
.
Press the OK option button.
The current dial mode setting
will be shown on the display.
Press the UP or DOWN button
to select either
Tone
or
Pulse
.
Press the OK option button to
confirm.
You will hear a confirmation
beep.
To insert a pause in a stored
number
With some switchboards, after
dialling the access code you
may have to wait for a moment
while the switchboard picks up
an outside line.
If so, press the LNR button to
insert a pause (
P
) before
entering the telephone number.
To use the recall button
You may need to use the recall
function if you are connected
to a switchboard/PBX
(Private Branch Exchange),
contact your PBX supplier for
further information. The recall
function is set to timed break
recall and is also used for
BT Select Services.
